Local Sprouts and Cultivating Community are collaborating for the 6th year on the Culinary Crew. Cultivating Community’s Youth Growers learn about growing food in the summer and then in the fall some of them join the Culinary Crew to learn about cooking local foods.   This year the Culinary Crew will be making a variety of canned goods and fermented foods to bring to members of the Senior Share program. Then the youth will be preparing meals and learning about working in a restaurant.  The program will culminate in the Culinary Crew running Local Sprouts Cafe for a night in November.  Stay tuned for more details and updates of this program in future newsletters.  If you are interested in volunteering for this program get in touch with us.
